The Big Move

So much to process after the death of a loved one, I got asked by almost every family member or friend If a baby is on the way and we learned to gently say " not yet, but soon."

I had put the idea of a baby aside and given my desire to the Lord to take care of.

Brighton Green, Our first apartment :)

Rooming together can be a host of fun until a fight arises and there is not enough space to get out of sight for a bit, we discovered besides space we were getting limited to grow as a couple, Mr husband had no garage to park his bikes and our bedroom was so tiny we both could not fit when walking out together. So we decided to have a look at what properties were available on the market within our budget and preferred area for purchase. We did not expect to find a bigger spaced apartment as soon as we did, we prayed about our desire to move and found three properties vacant, we viewed them all online, did our checks and called the bank to find out our status to obtain a second bond and all that good stuff.

Out of the three we chose one that was the best fit for us to view physically, chat to to the owner, pray together as a couple, make an offer and wonderful news the property was ours to purchase. We had loads of paper work to handle over a month and while also preparing for our overseas holiday I had my little cousins 8th Frozen themed birthday party I was planning and hosting. Talk about a month full of errands and planning that most nights Mr Husband said I was MIA from him as I spent hours on Pinterest after work hunting for party ideas as this kid is super special to me so I wanted to make it great especially that my aunt had given me full support to arrange this party.

Lawyer fees, transfer agreement, documentation and all that good stuff finally complete so our move was scheduled for end of October, 2016 which ideally was perfect as I had my cousins birthday party planned for the 10th of November 2016 and Thailand holiday was booked for end of November 2016. I was a burst of energy especially when it came to packing up and arranging the moving truck and a few helpers to move everything across to the new home. Thankfully we had more than just the movers, our immediate family and a few friends popped over with breakfast and their hands to help out.

After a week of settling in to our new spacious apartment, I felt anxious looking at the boring walls, our little sofa in this big lounge and a room with no color. I felt why did we move when we had set up our one bedroom apartment so cozy and trendy. The Lord spoke to me and reminded me of the word shared by my Bishop Robin Oliver - never get comfortable always push for better! I was then calmed also by Mr husband reminding me once I had shared my concerns that Rome was not built in one day, I then thanked God for his grace once again and slowly each week wrote a list that ever changes that we together use for house renovations and style.

We managed to make a few awesome renovations within our budget ( I will share some tips below) just in time for my little cousins sleep over and delightful blue Frozen birthday party which we felt would be better off at my dad's spacious home with a court yard and garden area. All the party guests enjoyed themselves so much that I received thank you messages from all the parents about the well planning of a kids event done by me, a hobbie I very much still enjoy today.

My Sunday was sweet, I said goodbye to my little cousins, headed to a couples shoot were I assisted main photographer and business owner Kirsten Paul. Coffee date at Europa with a slice of cake, a cool discussion on life, our husbands and my darling niece Peyton - Gianna. Monday came, work it was and off I went with left over slices of chocolate cake layered with blue icing, a perfect unhealthy breakfast to start blue Monday off. Nope I opened the container to cut a slice for Jamie and I when the sweet smell of the delicious cake caused me to feel sick to my stomach, vomit I don't know but please go away It's Monday and all I want is to start my day with a slice of blue cake.

Well, that's it for now. Below a few party and home decor tips. Please see my updates at the bottom.

Much Love & Blessings
