Baby reveals can be a host of fun, especially when you incorporate a theme and think about a location, a season or colours basically anything to have fun and get everyone excited about what's to come.
I love pictures, capturing special moments is very important and sentimental to me. Mr hubster is the opposite regarding pictures however it is clear this man knows how to set aside his differences for the sake of my happiness. I love taking pictures with Mr hubster, every photo-shoot we laugh ourselves sick that our photographers enjoy every moment with us.
After our recent trip from Thailand, we visited our gynecologist who confirmed a heartbeat is now clear from the alter-sound. Such brilliant news as I was already 10 weeks pregnant.
Seeing that we were in the month of December, Christmas was coming soon so a post card to the family would be a nice idea along with a pregnancy reveal, so I decided why not incorporate a Christmas themed shoot revealing our little baby blessing. I liked the idea so much I began my research straight away.
While exploring Pinterest I found a baby reveal picture of a mom-to-be hugging her partner who had a baby Christmas themed romper on his back. Sweet and so simple, I sent the idea off to my photographer who happened to be shooting Christmas themed shoots at a school that particular day. She gave the idea some thought and suggested we come up with a story line for the possible Christmas shoot. We did not have to think long about a story line, a little blessing or a little gift, both seemed so fitting after our prayers for a child.
I wanted a picture that would capture our Christmas spirit, happiness and reveal our little blessing to our family and friends. We created a gift box wrapped with Christmas themed gift wrap and a gold bow. I hid a few baby items inside the box. We scheduled our shoot for 18:00 PM after work Thursday evening, I did my own hair which was rather sticky from the Thai water and climate. Mr hubster and I kept our look really casual and comfy by sticking to light blue bottoms and red tees to show our Christmas spirit.
A blast of fun with our photography team revealing our little blessing, we used all our time in the studio to the maximum and I even got a few pictures in with little Kendra, daughter of our photographers.
A few things to keep in mind for a baby reveal: Theme, try always go with a season or month. Baby item, pick a cute unisex clothing or accessory item to use as the baby reveal.
Location, a studio is easier but a actual location is better. Pinterest is always a win, get inspired with a few ideas. Share your reveal via social media platforms that your family and friends commonly use, we choose Watsapp only and later revealed on Facebook and Instagram.
